In psychology, the shadow or shadow aspect is a part of the unconscious mind. It is linked to one's more primitive and animal instincts. This piece is a manifestation of the tension between Conscious and unconsciousness, ego self and shadow self. Light, shadow, distortion and transformation are a major part of the visual aesthetic of this piece.
